Rex Rudolph Gwinn
Rex Randolph Gwinn, 65, husband of Yvette Gwinn, died Sunday, May 4, 2014.
Born in Fayette County, WV, he was son of the late Delbert Allan and Mildred Irene Crowe Gwinn.
Mr. Gwinn was retired from Goodyear Wingfoot Truck Tire Center where he was a General Manager. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council 1668.
He had a passion for playing various sports. His greatest love was his family and the times they spent together.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 48 years, are daughter, Michelle Gwinn-Bays and husband Michael Bays of Easley; sons, Timothy Lee Gwinn and wife Lora of Collegeville, PA, Anthony Bryan Gwinn, and Stephen Randolph Gwinn and girlfriend Jessica Bruce of Taylors; sister, Germaine Pomeroy and husband Clifford; brothers, Kelly Gwinn, and Bobby Gwinn and wife Margaret, all of Flint, MI; grandchildren, Stephanie, Michael, Matthew, Tyler, and Jamie Gwinn, and Lance and Jacob Bays; and great granddaughter, Kailyn.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2014 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 9:15 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church on Thursday, May 8, 2014. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated afterwards at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
