Frank Neal Houston, 89, formerly of McCarter Avenue, died Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Foothills Retirement Community, Easley, SC.

Born in Mecklenburg County, NC, he was a son of the late John Frank and Addie Iola Parks Houston. For more than 45 years, Mr. Houston was in Textile Sales as a Manufacturing Representative.

He was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church and the Onesimus Sunday School Class. Mr. Houston was a former member and Past President of the Sertoma Club of Greenville and a member and Past President of the Executive Sertoma Club. He was a U S Army Veteran of World War II.

He was married to the late Harriet DuRant Houston.

Surviving are two daughters, Nancy H. Atkinson and her husband Danny of Greenville and Beth H. Todd of Myrtle Beach; a son, Marshall Reid Houston of Columbia; a brother, Robert P. Houston of Huntersville, NC.; four grandchildren, Ryan Atkinson, Jennifer A. Owens, Joshua Todd and Sarah Todd, and four great-grandchildren.

The family expresses appreciation to Lutheran Hospice for their care and attention.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 18, 2014 at John Knox Presbyterian Church at 2:30 p. m.. The visitation will follow in the Kirk Room at the church. Committal services will be at 10:00 a. m. Monday, May 19, at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

The Onesimus Sunday School Class will serve as Honorary Escort.
