Alvin Vernon "Big Al" Crisp


Alvin Vernon Crisp, 67, died Sunday, May 25, 2014.

Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late Arthur and Mary Lucille Fulbright Crisp.

Mr. Crisp, known as "Big Al," built and owned Al's Pump House until 1996. A lifelong resident of Travelers Rest, he took great pride in his community. His children were his greatest joy and gave meaning to his life.

Surviving are a daughter, Casey Crisp of Washington, DC; a son, Isom Crisp of Greenville; a sister, Mazel Smith of Travelers Rest.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with visitation following until 7:30 p.m.
