Daniel George Langley, 60, of Simpsonville, passed away peacefully at home May 30th after an extended illness. Dan was a wonderful salesman with a career beginning in furniture, cosmetics, and ending in irrigation supply. Dan never met a stranger; he loved people, had wonderful close friends, and was loved by many. He loved motorcycles from early on, martial arts (held a black-belt from Sam Chapman), music (harmonica and banjo), competition darts, and was an excellent marksman. Dan had a zest for life and lived it to the fullest. Dan will be greatly missed.
Dan was the son of John H. and Miriam W. Langley of Greenville. He was predeceased by his brother, John H. Langley Jr. (Kay). He is survived by his fiancé, Tammy James, a son, Joshua Daniel Langley (Kandice), granddaughter Madlyn Risse Langley, a sister, Priscilla Langley-Hamby (Ron), a brother, David Russell Langley (Valerie), and many close friends.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Sunday, June 1, at Cremation Society of South Carolina, Westville Mortuary on White Horse Rd. Friends are welcome to share stories after the service.
