James Hampton Stiller

Greenville

James Hampton Stiller, 88, husband of the late Haroldine Austin Stiller died Tuesday, June 10, 2014.

Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Paul V. and Sadie Davis Stiller.

James was a member of Laurens Road United Methodist Church. He served in the United States Marine Corps in WWII and the Korean War.

He is survived by son, Paul E. Stiller; daughters, Roxanne Smith (Chuck) and Jimmye S. Harden; grandson, Matthew Stiller (Jessica); great grandchildren, Jeremy E Stiller and Audrey Lynn Stiller; sisters, Gwen Wall (Richard) and Pat Scott; brother in law, John Linville; numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Francis.

In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by sister, Mary Linville and brother in law, Carlos Scott.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 13, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with the funeral service to follow in the Downtown chapel. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Laurens Road United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 5494, Greenville, SC 29606.
