Buren Rodney "Rod" Pearson, 66, of Spartanburg, SC went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Roxie Watkins Pearson .
Mr. Pearson was a native of Spartanburg and a son of Gertrude Ramsey Pearson and the late C. B. Pearson. He was owner of The Junction Family Restaurants and a member of First North Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son: Buren R. Pearson, Jr. of Spartanburg; a daughter: Kimberly Pearson of Landrum, SC; a brother: Kenneth Pearson of Spartanburg; a sister: Diane Callicott of Travelers Rest, SC; six grandchildren: Christina Turner, Hope Blackwell, Thad Pearson, Kaycee Blackwell, Luke Armstrong, Lydia Armstrong; two great grandchildren: Jaxson Turner and Ansley Turner. He was predeceased by a daughter: Angela "Angie" Pearson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs. A Memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Funeral Chapel officiated by Dr. Michael Hamlet and Rev. Lawyer Watson.
