Harriette Lee Beard Taylor

Greenville

Harriette Lee Beard Taylor, 93, widow of James Wenford Taylor, died Friday, June 13, 2014.

Mrs. Taylor was born in Greenville to the late James Crawford and Mamie Viola Beard.

She was a tax preparer for SD Leidesdorf, CPA for many years. For over sixty years she had been an active member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, and the Young at Heart Sunday School Class. She enjoyed supporting many charitable organizations.

She is survived by daughters: Sandra Verdin (Ray) of Mauldin, Barbara Massingill (Robert) of Simpsonville, and Vickie T. Harcum (Linwood) of New York City, NY; and son James W. Taylor, Jr. of Travelers Rest; grandchildren, Brian (Susan) Massingill, Richard (Emily) Massingill, Lauren Taylor, and Savannah and Elijah Harcum; great grandchildren, George and Eleanor Massingill. She was preceded in death by a brother, James C. Beard, Jr. and an infant daughter, Sharon Kay Taylor.

Visitation will be at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown, Monday, June 16, 2014 from 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Services will follow at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
