W. Max Nodine


William Max Nodine, 84, of 1015 Sylvia Street, died July 2, 2014 at Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills.

A native of Spartanburg County, son of the late Jay and Cora Bell Ayers Nodine, he was a retired employee of Hoechst Celanese, a US Air Force Korean War Veteran and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his wife, Jessie Foster Nodine of the home; two sons, Steve Nodine and Greg Nodine both of Greer; one step-daughter, Terry Wall of Green Creek, N.C.; two brothers, Tony Nodine of Charlotte, N.C. and Jerry Nodine of North Myrtle Beach; one sister Ann Nodine of Landrum; one sister-in-law, Willie Nodine of Kannapolis, N.C.; four grandchildren, Josh Nodine, Keith Nodine, Lance and Travis Turner and one great-grandchild, Alley Kay Nodine.

Mr. Nodine was predeceased by his granddaughter, Kayla Nodine.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Wood Mortuary. Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens Mausoleum with military rites.

Visitation will be held 2:30-3:45 p.m. Sunday at Wood Mortuary.
