Mrs. Ollie Reid Manus Cannon, 95, widow of Fred H. Cannon, Sr. went to be with the Lord on July 7, 2014.
Born in Charlotte, NC, she was a daughter of the late William Arthur and Amanda Helms Manus.
Mrs. Cannon was retired after many years as an inspector with Ashworth Brothers. She was a faithful member of 65 years at White Oak Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her son, Fred H. Cannon, Jr. and his wife, Joan of Greenville; and their grandaughter, Mallory. Also surviving is her son-in-law, Am Easterby; grandson, Samuel Easterby and his daughter, Samantha; grandson, Erik Watson and wife, Brandy and their children, Zachary and Gabbi; and her sisters, Winnie Manus Bagwell and Wilma Manus Kennerly. In addition to her husband she was also predeceased by her daughter, Gladys Amanda "Mandy" Easterby; her sisters, Lena Manus Robinson, Lottie Manus Harmon, and Martha Manus Bigham; and her brothers, William, Grier, Van and Ray Manus.
Mrs. Cannon is at The Mackey Mortuary where the family will receive friends Friday afternoon July 11 from 1:00 to 2:15pm with services to follow at 2:30pm with the Reverend Chris Barnes officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to White Oak Baptist Church.
