Gilbert Lemoine Blubaugh, 72, of 606 Couch Ln., husband of Shirley Kidd Blubaugh, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014 at his home.
Born March 22, 1942 in Patricksburg, IN, he was a son of the Deloris Bixler Blubaugh and the late James Blubaugh. Mr. Blubaugh was retired from the US Navy with twenty years of service and also from Duke Energy with twenty-five years of service. He was a master craftsman who was a gifted and talented furniture maker. Mr. Blubaugh also enjoyed gardening and fishing.
In addition to his mother and wife of fifty years, he is survived by his children Jeffrey Blubaugh (Angela), Kim Benning (Gurpal) and James Blubaugh; sister, Barbara Butler; brothers, Jimmy Blubaugh and Steve Blubaugh; grandchildren, Kala Hudson, Sydney Hudson, Christine Blubaugh, Jace Kirin Benning and Ava Sohni Benning.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 7, 2014 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens with military honors.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
