Frank M. Crisp


Frank McKinley Crisp, 86, of 108 Leona Drive, died August 10, 2014 at his home.

A native of Almond, North Carolina, son of the late Lonnie McKinley and Laura Pressley Crisp, he was a former employee of Lyman Printing and Finishing, Vermont America, and an evangelist. He was a member of Pelham First Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Babb Crisp of the home; one son, Lonnie Crisp of Virginia; two daughters, Ellen Crisp Stevenson (Gerald) and Jewel Payne both of Greer; a sister, Helen Brown of Greer; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Barbara Crisp of Harrisburg, North Carolina.

Mr. Crisp was predeceased by his first wife, Surfonia Godfrey Crisp and one son, Ray Crisp.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Virgil Smith and Rev. Garold Thomas. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Honorary escort will be the Henry Greer Sunday School Class of Pelham First Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Tuesday at The Wood Mortuary.
