Jack Pearson, 78, died August 12, 2014 at his home.
A native of Alabama, son of the late Vagara and Mable Lee Dunn Pearson, he was a retired employee of South Carolina social services and a member of Fairview Baptist Church where he was a lifetime deacon. He was a former trustee at Camp Marietta and Greer Community Ministries.
Surviving are his wife Carole Hammett Pearson of the home; one daughter, Elizabeth (Larry) Horner of Lyman; one son, Drew (Carrie) Pearson of Missouri; two brothers, Robert (Myra) Pearson and Tom Pearson all of Alabama; two sisters, Emmie Lou Autry of Alabama and Ledonia (Bob) Wise of Florida and five grandchildren Matthew and Morgan Revell, Collin, Ashlyn, and Justin Pearson.
Mr. Pearson was predeceased by a sister, Annie Jean Duncan.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday at Fairview Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Eddie Leopard and Dr. Tom Burns. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held 1:15-2:45 p.m. Friday at Fairview Baptist Church.
The family is at the home.
