Mae Norris Turner, 102, of Mooresville, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2014 at the Brian Center in Mooresville.

She was born on August 12, 1912 in Greenville, SC, to the late Henry Lee and Amanda Crain Norris. Mrs. Turner was retired from J.P. Stevens in Greenville and later worked at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center as a switchboard operator. She was a member of First Baptist Church Mooresville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Turner; sisters, Ruth Gaines, Agnes Vaughn; and brothers, Leo Norris and Wilton Norris.

Mrs. Turner is survived by her children, Janet Farr and husband, B.L., James Turner, Jr. and wife, Marcia, William Turner and wife, Peggy; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 21 at First Baptist Church Mooresville with Rev. Dr. Jerry Cloninger officiating. Burial will be held at 3:30 PM on Thursday, August 21 at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Greenville, SC. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 PM on Wednesday, August 20 at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 150 S Church St, Mooresville, NC 28115.
