Lucille "Lucy" Hammons Johnson, 81, of 6006 State Park Road, wife of the late W.H. Johnson, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, September 6, 2006.
Born in London, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Oakley and Bertha Hubbard Hammons. Mrs. Johnson worked at The Travelers Restaurant for 42 years, and was a member of Renfrew Baptist Church, where she was Secretary/Treasurer of the Bessie Burrell Sunday School Class.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Don and Mary Jane Hammons of Travelers Rest; a sister, Mae Harris and husband, Bob; one granddaughter, Terri Neves and husband, Bryan; and a great-granddaughter, Brandi Neves.
Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon at The Howze Mortuary Chapel, with burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Greenville.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary.
The family will be at the home of her son, Don Hammons, 135 Lindsey Lake Road, Travelers Rest.
