Mrs. Doris Gray, 86, a longtime resident of Greenville died Wednesday, November 9, 2011.
Mrs. Gray, a member of Northside United Methodist Church was instrumental in the further development of the Boys Home of the South. She retired from the Gower Corporation after 32 years of dedicated service.
Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Ernest Gray and is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Skeeter and Christina Gray of Greer, Wayne and Maria Gray of Ft. Worth, TX; daughters, Susan Gray of Simpsonville, Connie Kennington of Fountain Inn; 6 grandsons, Cameron, Carlton, Andrew, Marshall, David, and Mark Gray; 3 great-grandsons; 3 great-granddaughters and 2 more great-granddaughters on the way; sister and brother-in-law, Ruby and Joe Estes of Easley; and beloved niece Lynn Estes of Greenville.
A celebration of Mrs. Gray's life will be held Sunday afternoon November 13th at three o'clock at Northside United Methodist Church with Reverend Elizabeth Thompson officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family following the service.
