She was a strong presence and kind as I remember from theatre days and a tartan event at her home many years ago. Being in Scotland myself with my son at St Andrews, I hear this news with sadness and wish Diane, Earle and the family deepest sympathy from across the ocean.

To the entire McDougall family;
Your dear mother was a treasure. When I was 9 years old, I met her at the little theatre. She was playing Anna in a production of The King and I. Her kindness and encouragement drew me into the arts. I have been forever grateful. I pray that the Lord will sustain you all during this time of grieving. God Bless you. Kind Regards; Desiree Sautter-Ray
