Warren H. Taylor, husband of the late Martha Curry Taylor for fifty-six years, died Friday, January 25, 2013.
Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Forrest and Bessie Duncan Taylor.
Mr. Taylor was a US Army veteran, having served in the D-Day Invasion - Omaha Beach and the Battle of the Bulge. He founded Warren Taylor Jewelers in Simpsonville in 1957, and after fifty-three years, closed the business in 2010.
He was a member of Simpsonville United Methodist Church, serving as Sunday School Director for many years. He loved playing the organ, fishing and his dog Mollie.
Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Cheryl Taylor; and three grandchildren, Ryan Pittman (Julie), Blake Taylor (Amber), and Chris Taylor, all of Greenville. He was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters.
Graveside service will be Monday, January 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Remembrance Chapel at Woodlawn Memorial Park with military rites.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 until 6:30 p.m. at Simpsonville United Methodist Church.
