Simpsonville

Russell Dewey Carlton, 92, of Simpsonville, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2013 at the Springs Assisted Living. He was the the widower of Margaret Beaman Wood Carlton and the son of the late Delbert and Etolia Knight Carlton.

He was a retired Metal Worker, a US Army Veteran of WWII, he was a member of Empire Lodge of Mauldin and a member of Glendale Baptist Church.

He is survived by 2 step-daughters Mildred W. Owens, Judy Ferguson; and serveral nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his step-son Doug Woods and 8 brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Cannon Funeral Home Fountain Inn. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm in Cannon Chapel. Interment will follow at Cannon Memorial Park.
