Kauai, Hawaii

Claudia Mae Ledford of Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii, formerly of Greenville, South Carolina, died on February 2, 2013 at her residence. Born in Morganton, North Carolina on November 14, 1930, she was a retired nurse.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Josephine Taylor; husband Ray Everett; and son, Barry Ledford.

She is survived by her son, Randall (Karen Young) Ledford of Hawaii; brother Benjamin Taylor of North Carolina; grandchildren Delenna (Donnie) Bruce of Tennessee, Hailey (Heath) Dye of Georgia, Taylor (Michelle) Ledford of South Carolina, Rene' Young-Ledford of Hawaii; great grandchildren Gavin Bruce and Aidan Costill.

She will be buried in Mountain View Cemetery in Travelers Rest beside her husband.

Claudia was a great animal lover, with a special fondness for cats. The family is requesting donations be made to the Humane Society or Hospice in lieu of flowers.

Claudia will be remembered by her immense love for her family, excellent Southern cooking, and for keeping a welcoming home.
