John Lewis Kuykendall, 78, of 1990 Reedy Fork Road, husband of Roberta Fowler Kuykendall, died Saturday, March 2, 2013 at his home.
Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Charles Pinkney and Fleeta Ayers Kuykendall. John was owner of Kuykendall Dairy Farm. He was a member of Ornan Masonic Lodge #69 AFM in Fork Shoals, a Director for Dairy Farmers of America, and attended Pelzer United Methodist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are son, James F. Kuykendall of Simpsonville; daughters, Lynn Kuykendall and Janet Kostyal, both of Pelzer; grandchildren, John Edmond and Joy McWhirter, reared in the home; sister, Irene Johnson of Startex; grandchildren, Ryan, Katie, Leslie, and Lauren; three great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by brothers, Charles Marion and James Kuykendall.
Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 pm Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the Pelzer United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Kempie Shepherd and Mr. John Edmond officiating. Burial with Masonic Rites will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pelzer United Methodist Church, 8 Hale Street, Pelzer, SC 29669.
The family is at the home.
