Violet Monsour Howayeck, 90, wife of Louis Charles Howayeck, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013.
Born in Fall River, MA, on April 28, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Sahady and Nora Swidey Monsour.
Mrs. Howayeck worked in the Torpedo factory, Newport, RI, during World War II. She worked as a teacher's aide in Fall River, MA, and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Anthony of the Desert Maronite Catholic Church, Fall River, MA, where she served in leadership capacities in the Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Jane H. Howard and husband, Sam, of Greenville and Linda V. Howayeck of Fall River, MA; two sons, L. Robert Howayeck and wife Sherrill, of Greenville and Charles G. Howayeck of Greenville; Krysten Wetzel, of Fall River, MA; five grandchildren, Christine M. Howard, Leslie J. Poinsette, Rob Howayeck, Kenney Howayeck and Brady C. Howayeck; five great grandchildren, Isabel C. Poinsette, Jane K. Poinsette, Michael S. Poinsette, Jordan C. Plumblee, Avery Rose Howayeck.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Margaret M. Massoud and Lily M. Tabit; and three brothers, Mony R. Monsour, Moe J. Monsour, and Jimmy Monsour.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013 from 10:30 to 11:45 at St. Rafka Maronite Catholic Church, Hwy 14, Greer, SC 29650. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at noon in the church.
