Norma Reynolds Long, 87, of 10 West Circle Avenue, Greenville, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013.
Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Claude E. and Sadie Hughes Reynolds. She was a graduate of Greenville High School.
Norma loved people and easily made friends throughout life. She never met a stranger and loved talking to everyone. She was a loving mother to"her girls" and "Nannie" to her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Jeanie Long of Greenville, and Jo Ann Higgason and husband, Frank of Fountain Inn; her grandchildren, Amy Pruitt (Kyle) of Greenville, Jack Watson (Jennifer) of Greenwood, and Mary Kay Higgason of Greenville, her great-grandchildren, Taylor Pruitt (Jessica), Hayden Pruitt, Kinsley, Olivia and Abigail Watson, Caleb Shropshire, Christopher Redding and Bethany Broome and a great, great-grandchild, Layla Pruitt.She was preceded in death by her daughters, Mary Jane Long and Mindy Long Watson;her granddaughter, Erin Long; her brothers, Jack and Bob Reynolds.
The family will receive friends at The Mackey Mortuary on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00pm. A graveside service will be at 2:00pm Monday, April 8, 2013 at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
