Mary Barton Childress Langley, 88, of the Sara Gossett Retirement Home passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon June 22, 2014.

Born in Campobello, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Lois Golightly Barton.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mary was a faithful member of First Baptist Greenville where she attended the Fidelis Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clyde Houston Childress, Jr. and John Homer Langley; her son, Michael Barton Childress; and her sisters, Nancy Waldrop and Betty Jo Brown. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Houston and Donna Childress of Greenville; her granddaughter Emily Childress-Campbell (Colin); her stepchildren, David Langley (Valerie) and Priscilla Langley-Hamby (Ron); and her sisters, Iris Barton and Angeline Ballenger.

Services will be held Wednesday, June 25 at 10:30am in the Remembrance Chapel Mausoleum at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sara Gossett Retirement Home, 27 Conestee Avenue, Greenville, SC 29605.
