Charlotte Bennett Obituary

A memorial service for Charlotte Pool Bennett, wife of Josh Bennett, will be held Monday, September 28, 2015 at 2:00pm at Christ Church Episcopal, 10 North Street, Greenville, South Carolina 29601. The family will receive friends afterwards in the McCall and McKissick parlors. Charlotte is the daughter of Jean and Joe Pool and sister of Shelby Pool Ruehling (Wick) and Amanda Pool Wilson (Frank). Memorial gifts can be made in Charlotte's honor to The College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Virginia, The College Foundation, Attn: Adrienne Gardner P.O. Box 400801, Charlottesville, VA 22904-4801.

I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Charlotte was one of the first friends that I made in law school. She was so warm and friendly and I always loved seeing her smiling face. We both got our golden retrievers at the same time and I'll always remember how much fun we had talking about our sweet puppies together. She was truly a beautiful person inside and out and she will be missed dearly.

I am so sorry to hear this. I went to Camp Illahee with Charlotte. As a new camper, Charlotte was so welcoming, friendly and kind to me. She was one of the few people I remember from my summer camp days. She will definitely be missed.

The loss of Charlotte leaves me without words.
We were classmates and I was always a bit aloof but she was always so kind and engaged whenever we crossed paths.
Charlotte possessed a luminous spirit and I am so sorry that it has left the temporal world.

I only knew Charlotte briefly, when we summered together at Balch & Bingham back in 2011, but to have known Charlotte at all was to know immediately what a bright light she was in this world. Such a kind soul, and so intelligent. My heart aches for the tremendous loss. Your family is in my prayers.
