Anne Scarpelli, 80, of Cos Cob passed peacefully on Thursday, February 7 at Greenwich Hospital. Born Anne Pascarelli in Elmsford, New York on August 19, 1932 to Pasqualina and Louie Pascarelli. As a teenager, Anne was an accomplished classical accordionist winning numerous awards. Anne graduated from Traphagen School of Design in New York City and used her skills to become a master seamstress creating clothing and later an upholstery and drapery business. Anne's favorite part of her life was being a devoted wife to Peter "Mac" Scarpelli for 58 years; a loving and giving mother to two daughters Maria and Patti; and doting grandmother to Ashley, Meghan, Katie, David and Nick. All of the aforementioned family members will gather in Cos Cob to celebrate her life along with her sons-in-law Andy Stevens and Carlo Salvatore. Anne has one brother, Peter, who lives in Croton-on Hudson, NY.
Family and friends are welcomed to join us in this celebration on Monday, February 11 at Castiglione Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Avenue, Greenwich from 4-8PM. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, February 12 at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Riverside, at 11:00AM followed by a ceremony at St. Mary's Cemetery.
