Elinore "Ellie " H. Harrington With great sadness we announce her passing on November 19 at home with her family by her side. She resided in Delray Beach, Florida and Greenwich, Conn. Born Elinore Irwin Hoelzel in 1915 in Pittsbugh, Pa., Ellie graduated from The Masters School in Dobbs Ferry N.Y. She was married to Thomas W. Dewart, Publisher of the New York Sun, for 30 years and was the mother of 6. In 1952 the family moved to Greenwich, Conn.. She was a long time member of the Greenwich Garden Club and her daffodils were award winning. In 1973 she married Clement R. Hoopes from the Chadds Ford, Pa. area. Their life together was cut short by his death in 1979. In 1981 she married Charles J. Harrington of Greenville, Del. Her legacy will be her loving spirit and giving heart. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles, children William Dewart and Judy Dewart Krog, and survived by her four children: Wynne Killebrew of Greenwich, Conn., Mary Dooney of Hobe Sound, Fla., Phyllis Greene of Ipswich, Mass. and Tom Dewart of Eugene, Oregon, seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. A memorial service is planned for the Spring in Greenwich, CT.
