Joyce Marie Jordan, 71, of Greenwich, CT went to be with her Lord on September 19, 2013. Joyce was born to her mother Eleanor and the late William J. Steger in Brooklyn, NY on February 26, 1942. She married her husband Joseph P. Jordan in 1963. They lived in NJ and in the Hudson Valley of NY until returning to her childhood home in Greenwich. Joyce was full of life and joy. While her primary devotion was as a home-maker to her husband and children, Joyce was also a talented artist. She received her Bachelors degree in Fine Arts from Monmouth College in NJ. She expressed her gifts of creativity and grace in numerous ways such as painting, photography, pottery and ultimately the fiber arts. Joyce was a shepherdess and she would take the prize-winning wool from "sheep to shawl" by creating beautiful garments & crafts. She had a special fondness for all children and never let an opportunity pass to work with and care for them. Lastly, and most importantly to Joyce was her deep passion and love for her Lord Jesus Christ. She always had a word of encouragement and loved to share the good news of salvation with everyone she met. Ultimately, she received her Doctor of Ministry from the Christian Life School of Theology, Atlanta, GA. Joyce is survived by her loving husband, Joseph P. Jordan, son Joseph C. Jordan and his wife Shari Jordan of Clinton Corners, NY, daughter, Jessica Kells and her husband Paul Kells of Madison, CT, and mother, Eleanor Steger of Greenwich, CT. She has four wonderful grandchildren - Lindsey Jordan, Wyatt Jordan, Jordan Hope Kells and Christian Kells. In Joyce's honor, her family has established the Joys Unlimited Foundation which provides charitable outreach for the betterment of the lives of children. A service will be held Saturday, September 28 at 1:00pm at the Center for Hope & Renewal, 237 Taconic Road, Greenwich, CT 06831
