Lawrence Thomas D'Aloise, 97, died peacefully on September 16, 2013, at The Nathaniel Witherell in Greenwich. Born in Philadelphia on July 31, 1916, he attended Camden Catholic High School and St. Joseph College. Larry married the former Lillian Teresa Chromiec, moved to Greenwich, and undertook a long and distinguished career in advertising, working as creative director at several of the major New York City agencies of the time, including J. Walter Thompson and Dancer, Fitzgerald and Sample. He authored a number of self-help books and was still writing when he died. Larry's integrity, perseverance, incisive mind and insight were an inspiration to his family and friends and "He taught us a lot about life." He is survived by three children, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Calling hours at the Castiglione Funeral Home in Greenwich will be on Sunday, September 22, between 4 and 6pm. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 23, at 10 am at St. Mary Church on Greenwich Avenue.
