Patricia Cassidy

Cassidy, Patricia
Patricia Crawford Cassidy, loving wife, joyful mother, inspirational "Gigi," devoted daughter and sister, modern-day Muse, died on Sept. 8, 2013 in Sonoma California.
She was the beloved wife of 49 years to recently deceased John FK Cassidy, of Sonoma; mother to Anne Cassidy, of Sonoma; Sarah Cassidy, of Duvall, Wash.; and John Cassidy, of Westfield, N.J.; mother-in-law of Sam Turner, Luke Woodward and Rebecca Kelly; grandmother of Grace, Jack, Lily, Maggie, Pearl and Alice; as well as the sister to Joan Crawford Daly, of Rochester, N.Y. and the late Edward Crawford, Elizabeth Crawford Connelly and Virginia Crawford Murphy.
Patty was a graduate of Oswego High School and the College of New Rochelle. Before settling down to raise her family, Patty worked as a school social worker and teacher.
Patty's life was charmed. She was the sunshine of so many lives: her exuberant smile, her unique style, her sparkle, passion and grace inspired all who knew her. Patty made every day a celebration. A lover of music, art, tennis, gardening, the New York Times, theater, sunsets and travel, Patty's greatest love was her family and close friends. Though we painfully feel her absence, we can hear her singing, "Forget your troubles, come on, get happy!"
Bon Voyage, Patty and Jack, on this next leg of your travels.
A service will be held in Manhattan, at the North Garden of The Central Park Conservancy at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Peace Action in Patty's honor.
