Sara Ann Stewart Clark, a long-time resident of Riverside, CT, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, January 18, 2014 in Mobile, AL where she lived with her husband of 61 years, Robert T. Clark. Sara Ann was born in Pensacola, Florida on April 19, 1927, was President of her Murphy High School graduating class in 1945, and attended Duke University before graduating from the University of Alabama where she was a member of Kappa Delta. She was president-elect of the Junior League of Mobile before relocating to Connecticut with her family in 1964, where they lived until 1984 when she and her husband, Bobby, returned to their roots in Mobile. While in Riverside, Sara Ann joined the Junior League of Greenwich and served as an elder and parish visitor for the First Presbyterian Church of Greenwich. She was lucky enough to travel the world with friends and family, and was sustained throughout her life by her faith. A memorial service was held at Spring Hill Presbyterian Church in Mobile on January 22, 2014. Sara Ann will be dearly missed by her family and many friends for her sense of humor, thoughtfulness and love of life. She is survived by her husband Robert T. Clark, daughter Mary Kenley Clark of Williamsburg, MA, two sons, Robert T. Clark, Jr (wife Lisa) of New Orleans, LA and Stewart Clark (wife Alexandra) of Falls Church, VA and grandchildren, Julia, Bobby, Cameron, Lauren and Ryan Clark.
