Murano, Freida
Freida Murano, 90, of Greenwich passed away at home after a 5 year struggle with Parkinson's disease on June 19, 2013. She was born in Port Chester on July 7, 1922 to the late Christina & Charles Repaci. Frieda is survived by her husband of 67 years Louis N. Murano, her sister Mary, her son & wife, Louis Richard & Mary Ann, and her granddaughter & husband, Monica Murano Robinson & Glenn Avery, and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her sisters Catherine and Martha, and a brother Anthony. Freida was an avid golfer and an active member in the Glenville Seniors Club and the Knights of Columbus with her husband. She also loved to travel throughout the United States, the Caribbean, Hawaii, and Australia. She worked as a secretary for the Greenwich Federal President and held positions in real estate, banking and importing. Family and friends are invited to visit at the Castiglione Funeral Home on Sunday, June 23, 2013, from 3-5 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013, at 10 A.M. at Sacred Heart Church in Byram, CT. Interment will immediately follow the church service at St. Mary Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in her memory to The National Parkinson's Foundation, 10 Union Square East, New York, New York 10003, or to Sacred Heart Church, 95 Henry St., Byram CT, 06830.
