Millie Marijan, 102, a life long Greenwich resident passed away peacefully at home on September 18, 2012 surrounded by loving family and friends. She was born in Greenwich to Leonardo and Angelina LaBruzza and is predeceased by her husband, Roko Marijan and brothers Michael Labbruzzo and Dominick LaBruzza. Before her retirement, Millie worked at Greenwich Hospital for over 25 years. The beloved matriarch of her family, Millie loved to cook and bake and was known for her wonderful cookies that she lovingly shared with family and friends. Always the life of the party she loved to dance and enjoy life. She was an inspiration to all who knew her no matter what their age. She is survived by her daughter, Annette Marijan of Greenwich, her son Thomas (Karen) Marijan of Lebanon, NH; her sisters Josephine Tomasello and Marie Nenni both long time residents of Greenwich; a sister-in-law Josephine Labbruzzo of Port Chester, NY; nephew Michael Tomasello (Camille) of Stamford; Leonard (Irene) Tomasello of New Milford, CT; Rose Marie (Joseph) Chiappetta of Shelton; Nancy (Silvano) Bardin of Greenwich; Robert Nenni (Joyce) of El Paso, TX; Angela (Mario) Squillace of Rye Brook, NY; Felicia (Tom) Mastroini(Mastroeni) of White Plains, NY; Angelo (Barbara) Labbruzzo of Westport, Frank Borchetta of Windsor Locks, Geraldine Butterfield of Warwick, RI, and many great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit at the Castiglione Funeral Home on Friday September 21, 2012 from 4-8 P.M. A Mass celebrating her life will be held on Saturday September 22, 2012 at St. Roch's Church at 10 A.M., Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, 399 North St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Millie's memory to St. Roch's Church, 10 St. Roch's Avenue, Greenwich, CT 06830 or The Greenwich Hospital Foundation, 5 Perryridge Rd, Greenwich, CT 06830.
