Tiedemann, Veronica
Veronica Tiedemann, 72, lovingly known as Roni, Mom, Grandma, and Gabi by those close to her, passed suddenly on July 2, 2013. She was born on May 30, 1941, in Ridgewood, NY to the late William and Eva Secker. She was a very passionate and active woman who loved life. She volunteered as the children's buyer for the Greenwich Hospital Gift Shop for many years, where she was able to mix her passion of shopping with that of helping others. She had an ongoing love/ hate relationship with golf, and enjoyed traveling and playing bridge. Roni is predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years, William J. Tiedemann. She is survived by her two daughters, Jeanne Korman and Kristin Squier, her 7 grandchildren; Ashley Tiedemann, Joshua Korman, Matthew Korman, Nicholas Squier, Shannon Squier, Aaron Korman, and Michaela Korman, as well as her great-granddaughter, Reagan Deaso. One of the many things that will never be forgotten is the special relationship she formed with each of her grandchildren and how she went out of her way to make each of them feel loved and special. Her Aunt Olga Mihanowich, sisters-in-law, Nancy Tiedemann and Mary Pangiarella and her husband Tony, as well as her nieces Karen Paolino and Lisa Tompos also survive her. Roni was known for the strength and class with which she handled any situation and the incredible love she had for her family and friends. She will be missed greatly by all those blessed to have known her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Roni's name to, Maria Ferari Children's Hospital,
