Stephansen, Virginia
Virginia Mulford Stephansen, 83, of Old Greenwich, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 5 in Roswell, GA. She was born September 27, 1929 to the late Ralph and Theresa Mulford of Port Chester, NY. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, Harry Stephansen, and son, Drew Stephansen, her brothers Ralph Mulford of Port Chester, John and Robert Mulford of Greenwich. She worked for a number of local interior decorating businesses including Rovens,Town & Country Window Design and most recently JSJ Window Treatments in Cos Cob. She was a graduate of Port Chester High School and involved in both Mariners and Scouting as a scout herself and Den Mother and Troop Leader for her children. She was an avid reader and loved sewing, boating, gardening and birds. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-laws Ginger and Ray Weidele of Douglasville, GA, Susie and Don Fahey of Darien, CT and three beloved grandchildren Taylor Weidele, Sean and Kelly Fahey. Visitation will be at the Craft Memorial Home Inc on Sunday, March 10 from 4-8pm. Funeral service will be 10:00am Monday, March 11 at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery, Rye, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Bennett Cancer Center Stamford Health Foundation, 1351 Washington Blvd. Stamford, CT 06902.
