CARMELA (IMBROGNO) PIACITELLI a life long residence of Rye, N.Y. and born in Greenwich, passed away peacefully Friday, August21, 2009 surrounded by her family. Carmela was born April 19, 1920 in Greenwich to Rosaria and Bill Imbrogno. She was a graduate of Greenwich High School. She was employed for many years at Ledmans in Port Chester, N.Y. Carmela married the love of her life, John Piacitelli of Mamar-oneck N.Y. in 1939, who passed away in 1986. She is survived by her four children, John Piacitelli of Rye, Billy and wife, Doreen Piacitelli of Rye, Marylou and husband, William Clark of Redhook, N.Y., and Michael and wife, Noel Piacitelli of Bethel. She is also survived by her two sisters, Rose Tarantino of Greenwich and Teresa Scap-paticci of Harrison, N.Y.; as well as 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren, including a grandson, George Clark who predeceased her. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Carmela also leaves behind her longest and dearest friend, Marie Hayes of Rye. She was predeceased by two brothers, Anthony and Louis Imbrogno of Greenwich and two sisters, Josephine Imbrogno and Angie (Nitchie) Bocchino from Greenwich. Carmela is known to her family and friends as the most caring and loving person, never judging, just listening with an open heart to all that she knew, She will truly be missed. The family will receive visitors Monday, August 24, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Graham Funeral Home, 1036 Boston Post Road, Rye NY. A Funeral Mass will be held at the Church Of Resurrection on Tuesday, August 25, 2008 at 10 a.m. At the families request in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Richard Rosenthal Hospice Center, Stamford, CT.
