DOLORES A. DELUCA FRECCIA passed away suddenly at Greenwich Hospital on January 26, 2010, at the age of 74. Born in Stamford on July 28, 1935, she was the daughter of Theresa Zabatta DeLuca and the late James DeLuca. She was genuinely devoted to her family and extremely proud of her grandsons. Dee was a devoted wife and caregiver to her husband Vinnie, having donated her kidney to him, which enabled them to have many more years together. The focal point of her life was her family. She also enjoyed assisting her son in his law practice for the last 20 years. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Vincent J. Freccia, III and his wife, Catherine of Stamford; cherished grandsons, Vincent, Samuel and Maxwell Freccia, all of Stamford; two sisters, Mary Fiordelesi and her husband, Theodore of Stamford and Margo Pasquale and her husband Frank of New Rochelle, New York; her brother, Anthony DeLuca and his wife Irene of White Plains, NY; sisters-in-law, Gloria Larson and her husband Paul of Greenwich, and Lorraine Freccia Green of Orange City, Florida. In addition to her father, Dolores was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Vincent J. Freccia, Jr. A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Friday, January 29, 2010 at 10:10 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist RC Church, 279 Atlantic Street, Stamford, CT 06901, at 11:00AM. Entombment will follow at St. John's RC Cemetery Mausoleum, Darien. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Thursday, January 28, 2010 from 4:00-8:00PM.
