MARGUERITE CLAUDIA (BELMONTE) MATTISON Born March 16, 1915 in Greenwich, died January 7, 2011 Daughter to the late Rocco Frank Belmonte and Emelia Martino Belmonte, she was predeceased by her husband, Vincent E. Mattison in May 1979. She is survived by two sons, Vincent E. Mattison, Jr. and his wife, Hope of New Fairfield, and George S. Mattison of Cape Coral, Fla. In addition, she is survived by daughter-in-law, Elaine Raynor Mattison of North Carolina. She was also predeceased by three brothers, Michael, Joseph and Robert Belmonte and, two sisters, Josephine Stempel and Ellen Galleta. She is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, William and Marion Belmonte of Trumbull. She is survived by four loving grandchildren, Gregg Mattison of Danbury, Brooke Mattison of Spartanburg, S.C., Michele C. Pues and her husband, Richard of Danbury, and, Carrie J. Wauthier and her husband, Roland of Norwalk. Also, she is survived by eleven great-grandchildren, Brooke's children, Aricellas, Bryceson and Sianne; Michele and Richard's children, Richard Jeremy, Madison Louise, Riley Patrick, Miranda Joy, Rocco Vincent and Mason John Pues and, Carrie and Roland's children, Ryann Ashlie and Raegan Hope Wauthier. Lastly, she is survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews that reside both in Connecticut and around the country. She lived her entire life in Greenwich, and worked at several jobs, first when the Depression hit to help out her family and later in life she worked in the Greenwich Public School cafeterias as a cook and finally at the Greenwich Hospital Coffee Shop on Saturdays well into her sixties. In her seventies, she contracted Alzheimer's Disease and was part of the Greenwich Adult Day Care Program at Nathaniel Witherell Nursing Home. In March 1996 she was admitted into Nathaniel Witherell as a permanent resident and resided there until her passing. Family and friends may call at the Castiglione Funeral Home, Inc., 134 Hamilton Ave. in Greenwich on Sunday, January 9th from 4 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 10th at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Byram. Internment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Greenwich.
