Petersen- Conrad William, Sr, of Richardson, Tex., Greenwich, Conn, and Lake Geneva, Wis., passed away on February 14, 2013, at the age of 88. He was born on March 21, 1924 in Chicago, Ill., to William F. and Alma Schmidt Petersen. On November 17, 1951, Conrad married Anne Rebbie, in Winnetka, Ill. He is survived by his children, Barbara Petersen Parker of Old Greenwich, Conn., Conrad William Petersen, Jr. and wife Arlene of Richardson, Tex; grandchildren, Margaret Anne Parker of Old Greenwich, Conn., Spencer Petersen and wife Sheri of Plano, Tex., Cody Petersen and Kristen of Plano, Tex., three great grandchildren; brother, Edward S. Petersen and wife Zika of Middleburg, Va., Conrad is preceded in death by his parents, William F. and Alma S. Petersen; wife, Anne R. Petersen; and brother, William O. Petersen. Conrad graduated President of his Class from the Latin School in 1942, B.S., Cum Laude in Mechanical Engineering. He was a U.S. Navy Reserve Ensign, 1943-1946. Conrad was President of the Petersen Oven Company, 1950-1958, Director and Assistant to the President, Baker Perkins, Inc., Saginaw, Mich., 1958-1962, and General Manager, Industrial Division, Lever Brothers, New York, NY., 1962-1987. He was a member of Tau Beta Pi, Pi Tau Sigma, ASME, Society of Bakery Engineers, American Oil Chemist's Society, and the Young President's Society. Conrad also was a member of the Representative Town Meeting, Greenwich, Conn., and the Northeast Greenwich Association. Conrad was kind and generous to all he met and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was truly a sweetheart and will always be remembered on Valentine's Day.
