Frank M. Preucil III
Passed away April 6, 2013 after living a full life of 86-plus years. Born in Topeka, Kansas to Frank and Marjorie Preucil, Jr., "Frankie" grew up in Joliet, Illinois, later moving to Evanston, Illinois, as his father was a successful printing industry scientist. Frankie graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill, with a major in Business and Accounting, and served with the U.S. Army Air Force peace keeping deployment in Japan, following the immediate end of World War II.
Frank spent his entire business career with Ernst & Young, initially in Chicago, and then in New York City. Frank was also involved in church, industry and community organizations throughout his working life, reflecting his business acumen and trustworthy and dependable nature, serving as Treasurer for the Transportation Association of Greenwich and the Sylvan Lane Association, among others. Frank was also actively involved in the American Management Association, and the McDowell Society of Chicago.
Frank is survived by his younger brother, William Preucil, and younger sister, Marjorie Ellickson, his two sons, Jeffrey A. Preucil and Woodley B. Preucil, seven grand children, including Courtney, Ashley, Chase, Matthew, Katherine, Christopher, and Verena Eve Preucil, as well as his Great Grandson, Jacob Acevedo.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Noon at the First Congregational Church of Greenwich. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his memory should be directed to the First Congregational Church of Greenwich.
