Vincenzo Lorenti, 84, of Stamford passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Stamford Hospital. He was born on December 4, 1928 in Bivongi, Italy to the late Pasquale and Anzalmena Valente Lorenti.
He had a strenuous childhood, having his father pass when he was twelve and becoming the head of the household at that tender age. He had WWII march through his town and decided shortly thereafter that he wanted to come to America where he lived the American dream. Through blood, sweat and tears, he started and thrived with his landscaping business in this country that he loved.
He was an avid gardener and loved playing his mandolin and guitar. His family was always first and foremost. We will always be appreciative of that. We hope that we have the same commitment.
Our solace is that our parents are reunited in heaven with their eternal love for each other. May God bless them and may they rest in peace together again.
Vincenzo is survived by his three sons, Pasquale Lorenti and his wife Barbara of Stamford, Adelmo Lorenti and his wife Jean of Cottonwood, AZ and Emilio Lorenti of Stamford; three granddaughters, Eileen Monroe and her husband Ronald, Patricia Recalde and her husband Diego and Emily Lorenti; a great granddaughter Makayla Monroe and a great grandson Xavier Monroe. He is also survived by his sister Nazarena of Italy.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife Teresa Lorenti in 2008.
