On Friday, July 12, Lynne Smith Heaviside of Fayetteville, Ny, age 66, died after a four year battle with Ovarian Cancer. She now joins all her deceased four legged kids (including dogs, cats, skunks, rabbits, and gerbils) and they will all cross over the Rainbow Bridge together. Lynne was born in Syracuse, NY to Robert and Henrietta (Buster) Heaviside. After moving quite a few times due to being an "executive brat", she spent the majority of her youth in Greenwich , CT. She graduated from St. Agnes School in Albany, NY, Garland Junior College in Boston, MA and Mills College of Education in New York, NY. She enjoyed working in Special Education and did it as both an employee and as a volunteer. She retired from St. Joseph's Hospital last year where she was a Patient Access Specialist. Lynne was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Henrietta (Buster) Heaviside and her two brothers, Ward Heaviside and Lee Heaviside. She is survived by her sister, Jan C. Heaviside of Fayetteville, NY, her niece, Amanda H. Antonucci (Robert) of Geneseo, NY, her grand-niece Harper Antonucci, and her two grand-nephews, Bennett Antonucci and Gabriel Heaviside, and her best friend of 50 years, Cindi Dundon of Camillus, NY. In celebration of Lynne's life, please attend her calling hours in bright and casual apparel. The calling hours will be held on Saturday July 20th from 2-5pm at Fairchild and Meech Dewitt Chapel, 3690 Erie Blvd, E., Dewitt. Burial will be private at Oakwood Cemetery.
