I remember Joan today as vividly as if she were still with us. A soul of spirit and compassion meted with intelligence and common sense. A lovely, warm presence. I remember with great fondness. We love you Joan.

Your mom was my mothers best friend for at least 93 years. So fitting they died within a month of each other. As with your mother the last couple of years health was an issue. I remember your Mom with such fondness. Our Moms are enjoying each others company again. They were born in the same hospital within hours of each other. Thinking of you. My Mom Ann Preuss Gillerlain grew up in Bronxville with your Mom. My Mom lived in New Canaan since 1950. I remember visiting your house in Greenwich as a child.

I had the pleasure of meeting Joan with her family during the Christmas Holiday visiting her South Florida home when I was married to Charles "Chip" Melber. Joan and her family were gracious welcoming and fun. My deepest sympathies to the family and friends who knew her.

This is for the many she touched at Greenwich Country Day as her kids went through school. My Mummy, Mrs. Tarrant, always adored her. So did I.

Mrs Warburg was a delight. A neighbor for over 39 years. She watched us grow and then our children grow. Such sweet kindness. She will be truly missed.
