Of Tumon, Guam was called to eternal rest by our heavenly Father at the age of 79. Businesswoman and a civic member of the Guam community, Luz came to Guam in the 1960s and has since made Guam her home. She contributed to the booming construction industry of the island at the time. She was an active member of the Home Builders Association and co-owner of CWC Builders Inc., a general contractor. As a member of the International Women's Club of Guam, the Guam Beauty Association, and the Rotary Club of Tumon Bay, Luz devoted countless volunteer hours towards fundraising projects to benefit our island and our neighbors. Mass of Intention is being offered at Blessed Diego Luis De San Vitores Church in Tumon, Monday through Friday at 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. followed by the rosary. The ninth night rosary on Sunday, April 14, will be at 6:00 p.m. at Luz' residence at 904 N. Marine Corps Drive in Upper Tumon, close to the Star Building along Marine Corps Drive. Viewing and Last Respects may be paid from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the said church on Tuesday, April 16, 2013. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 1:00 p.m. Private Cremation services will immediately follow at Our Lady of Peace Crematorium.
