DAVID HOWARD HAYNES David Howard Haynes, 85, passed away on Oct. 8, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife, De Etta, and children, Vicki, Stan and Glena. After marrying the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Dave enlisted in the Navy. He and Dee lived in San Diego and Honolulu. His military service continued as a reservist in the Air Force. Returning stateside, Dave worked for Consolidated Freightways. He climbed the corporate ladder, retiring as vice president. Dave and Dee permanently moved to Green Valley in 1988. He became very involved with Valley Presbyterian Church, Shriners, Habitat for Humanity and many other charitable groups. Dave's greatest love was his family and playing with his four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, tennis and golf. His strong convictions and humility were engrained in his family and everyone he met. In the last few years as his health declined, Dave never forgot to give and receive all the gifts life offered. He will be greatly missed. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held in California.
