Daniel P.A. Salvatore, age 70, passed away at the Morris Hospital in Morris, Ill., on Monday, April 8, 2013 after a long painful struggle with COPD.

Dan was born in Watkins Glen, NY on April 17, 1942, the son of the late C. Daniel and Lena Salvatore. He had served in the U.S .Army during Vietnam. A resident of Webster, NY, Dan had worked for Xerox Corporation for over 25 years before retiring and moving to Green Valley, AZ. He had been living in in Morris, Illinois for the past 3 years.

Survived by his loving daughters, Danette (David) Porter of Scottsville, NY, Kara (John) Lagas of Illinois and Carina Salvatore of Arizona; grandchildren Patrick Warren, Annie Porter and Cory Lagas, John Lagas.

Friends and family may call from 1 pm to 3 pm on Friday, April 12, 2013 at the Link at St. Mary's of the Lake Church, 905 Decatur St., Watkins Glen, NY. A Mass celebrating his life followed at 3 pm at the church. Burial with Military Honors will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Watkins Glen.
