DINAH KAHN, 67, passed away Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013 in Tucson, Ariz. after a courageous and graceful 2-year battle with cancer. She was born June 12, 1945 in Carlisle, Pa. to Dr. Earnest Samuel Cunningham Jr. and Mrs. Betty Sue McMillan Cunningham. Dinah grew up in Ft. Worth, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas
Dinah is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Marty Kahn of Quail Creek; her son Matthew Denison and her daughter Temple (David) Barron, both of Austin; her stepson lan (Gretchen) Cion of Houston; her sister Betty (John) Hemphill of Hilton Head, SC; her brother Sam Cunningham of Austin; her granddaughter Reece Barron and her grandsons Skyler and Keenan Cion.
Dinah returned to school in 1991 to become a Registered Nurse. Dinah was one of the kindest individuals you could have ever met. She had a way about her to make anyone who came in contact with her immediately comfortable and she shared this gentleness, spreading calm and joy to those she helped heal.
Dinah and Marty loved to travel and experience the world. As a result, they lived in some beautiful places over the last 26 years: Colorado, Hawaii, Florida, Oregon and Arizona. On their travels they most recently visited France, Italy, Spain, Greece, England, Scotland and Alaska.
Dinah found great happiness in her grandchildren and took pride in being their Nana. She was a positive, glowing, caring and supportive person and these traits will live on as her family and friends honor her life. She will be deeply missed and our loving memories of her will last forever.
