DORITA MERCEDES NAVARRO, 78, left her life on earth for greater adventures in the hereafter on Oct. 24. Originally from New York City, Dorita lived for many years in California before retiring to Green Valley which she considered “paradise.” She taught high school Spanish for 38 years, and continued teaching Spanish to adults at Pima College and Green Valley Recreation. She was a volunteer interpreter in the Orthopedics Department of St. Andrew’s Children’s Clinic for 10 years. Dorita loved working at the Clinic. In a Clinic newsletter article, Dorita said about the Clinic, “I love the energies, the miracles, the people, the children, the parents â€" the love that’s exuded by everyone at the Clinic!” She also loved to travel internationally. She shared her zest for life and thirst for knowledge with numerous friends, especially her yoga class mates. She will be greatly missed.

At her request, there is no memorial service. Contributions in Dorita’s name can be made to St. Andrew’s Children’s Clinic, P.O. Box 67, Green Valley, AZ 85622.
