Jack R. Bargenquast, 85, of Green Valley, passed away of a heart attack Oct. 29, 2012, in Tucson. He was born March 29, 1927, in Milwaukee, Wis.

He was employed as an engineer for 33 years with Briggs & Stratton of Milwaukee. After he retired, he and his wife moved to Arizona in 1983, where he was a former volunteer for the local Sheriff’s Assist Team, Green Valley Food Bank, and Green Valley/Sahuarita Chamber of Commerce.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lorraine; sons Scott (Valerie) of Nebraska, and Jim (Debra) of Tucson; grandchildren Jessica, Michael, Lauren and Taylor; sister-in-law Rose York of Waukeshaw, Wis.; brother-in-law Al Loncaric of California; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandson Adam.

A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Nov. 24, 2012, at Lutheran Church of the Risen Savior, 555 S. La Canada Drive, Green Valley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Risen Savior.
