JOHN O. SWANSON

JOHN O. SWANSON

John O. Swanson died Nov. 20, 2013 at his home in Green Valley, AZ. Took a nap and died! So peaceful, no trauma, no illness, just quietly went away. He was a wonderful life partner to Donna Scott, as well as being an adopted dad to Donna's daughter Wendy and son-in-law Mike, grandpa to Danny, Donna, David, and Heidi, plus great-granddad to Galie and Olivia. He is survived by two sons, Scott and Curt, who both live in the Chicago area. He was known primarily for his obvious devotion to Donna, as well as a finely honed sense of humor.

Since retiring many years ago from the computer technology field, John established quite a reputation for his beautiful artwork. He dabbled in paints, metal, wood, cloth, stone, and whatever else he could find to create gorgeous wall hangings. He was also a skilled cabinetmaker, building some pretty unusual furniture, all with his personal touch, keeping his own home very colorful and beautiful. A private celebration of his life will be held in December and he will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.
