LEWIS W. CLAY

Lewis W. Clay of Green Valley and formerly of Ohio passed away May 6, 2013. He was 77.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy L. Clay.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter C. and Christena B. Clay of Freeport, Ohio, and sister Mary Ellen Clay, also of Columbus.

He is also survived by cousins Dr. Paul and Jane Morton of Columbus; Corley Byras of Bowdoin, Maine; and Frances Howell of Cambridge, Ohio.

Mr. Clay was employed for 15 years by the IRS in Cincinnati, and also employed for 15 years by Marion Power Shovel Co. of Marion, Ohio. He also served 2 years in the Army.

He was a graduate of Muskingum University in New Concord, Ohio. He earned his Paralegal Certification from Capital University Law School in Columbus. Both he and his wife, Nancy, enjoyed traveling and have been in all 50, states, parts of Europe, Canada, Mexico and Central America. He was in the Green Valley Players Theatre Association, Eastern States Club, and the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association.

A Memorial Mass will be held May 20, 2013 at 8 a.m. at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Green Valley/Sahuarita Food Bank.
